What Data We Collect

• Claude API Key: Stored locally in your browser. Sent only to Anthropic's API (api.anthropic.com) to perform fact-checking.
• YouTube Video Transcripts: Read from the YouTube page you are viewing. Sent to Anthropic's API for analysis. Not stored on any external server.
• Fact-Check Results: Cached locally in your browser for 7 days to avoid redundant API calls.
• Usage Counts: Daily scan counts stored locally to enforce free tier limits.
• Pro License Key: Stored locally in your browser.

What We Do NOT Collect

• No personal information (name, email, address)
• No browsing history
• No analytics or tracking
• No cookies set by this extension

Third-Party Services

This extension sends video transcript text to Anthropic's Claude API (api.anthropic.com) for AI-powered fact-checking. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to data processed by their API.

Data Storage

All data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage APIs. No data is sent to any server other than Anthropic's API.
